Build Details

• Removed all exterior body trim

• Opened up the rear fenders so large Drag slicks can be used while keeping the
   rear of the car near stock height. 

1956 Chevrolet Del Ray

1956 Chevrolet Del Ray (Up dated 2/11/11)

Making a little progress on the Del Ray. Here the chrome foil work is done. The Interior is next. AH

Here is the Del Ray painted and chassis finalized. Paint is Testers GM Honduras Maroon metallic. I removed the trunk and hood emblems. The peak on the hood now rolls over the the front for a cleaner look. AH

Here is the motor I built for the '56 Del Ray that's on the work bench. It is the small block from the kit. I added dual carburetors and intake. The intake is from a vintage Corvette and the Carbs are from the '55/'56 kits. The air cleaners are from the amt Graffiti, and the headers from the amt '34 5-window. I also added plug wires and fuel lines. AH : )
